Welcome

w_ross_2.jpgAs President of IUON, I want to welcome you to the world of nursing.  We offer a traditional Bachelor's Degree Program in Nursing.

IUON can help you begin your nursing education right now. Classes begin in January, May, or September.  I would urge you to spend a little time reviewing the material on our website.   It is very informative and will help you better understand the many benefits of attending IUON.

We have invested over $50 million dollars in developing a  state of the art campus that is comparable to the best nursing schools in the United States.  Our 24-bed virtual hospital is absolutely amazing, and is equipped with the latest technology from Sim and METI HPS including i-Stan®.

We maintain small classes to provide a personalized education.  Our faculty are highly qualified experienced professionals recruited primarily from the United States.  They are dedicated to your success.

Our ocean front campus is located on the beautiful Caribbean island of St. Kitts. Now, with IUON's Upper Division in Nursing program, students are placed in one of our partner schools in the United States or Canada to complete their education after only three to four semesters in St. Kitts.  Our graduates receive a degree from both IUON and our partner schools.  Graduates from IUON are currently licensed and practicing throughout the United States.  Our pass rate on the NCLEX exceeds the national average and is currently over 90%.

I look forward to seeing you at IUON.

Sincerely yours,

Warren Ross

President
International University of Nursing

IUON approved by the Department of Education for the Federal Direct Student Loan Program

I am pleased to announce that the International University of Nursing (IUON) has been approved by the U.S. Department of Education (DOE) to participate in the Federal Direct Student Loan Program. IUON is the only international nursing school to receive approval from the DOE since the new law allowing foreign nursing schools to participate in the Title IV program came into effect one year ago. The ability to obtain low interest federal loans will allow many more students the opportunity to attend nursing school. Read announcement

IUON Announces Upper Division BSN Program

Starting in September 2011, the International University of Nursing (IUON) will offer an Upper Division BSN program. The Board of Trustees confirmed its support of the program following approval by the IUON Faculty Committee and University Administration.

President Warren Ross notes that “The majority of colleges and universities in the U.S. and Canada offer upper division nursing programs. This program is an important step forward for nursing education at IUON. Students will be able to complete their nursing courses in St. Kitts in as few as three semesters before being placed at a partner school.”
